Position: White Goods Manager
I have worked for BrightHouse since 2001 and started as a Service Engineer. The role involved visiting customers to repair their electrical goods. I have reasonable freedom to plan my day, but of course have to meet customer service and quality targets.
After 4 years as a Service Engineer I was asked to help set up a White Goods Repair area at our National Service Centre. This is where white goods such as cookers, washing machines, and fridge freezers are assessed or repaired. It was challenging but with hard work and appropriate training we successfully completed the project.
It’s been running smoothly and I have recently been promoted to National White Goods Support, assessing new manufacturers, visiting our Service Centres and providing technical assistance to my staff.
